Biography
Julian Nott is a British composer and conductor, best known for his scores for the Wallace & Gromit films and shorts. He studied at the National Film and Television School, where he met Nick Park, and began composing for the series with the student film A Grand Day Out (1989).
His credits include the Wallace & Gromit shorts The Wrong Trousers (1993), A Close Shave (1995) and A Matter of Loaf and Death (2008), the feature Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005), and Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl (2024). He has also composed for Peppa Pig and various BBC and ITV dramas.
Nott won an Annie Award in 2006 for The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and an Ivor Novello Award in 2009 for A Matter of Loaf and Death. He directed and co-wrote the 2001 comedy Weak at Denise.
