Biography
Justus von Dohnányi is a German actor. He was born on 2 December 1960 in Lübeck and trained at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. He began his career on stage, appearing at theatres in Hamburg, Zürich and Frankfurt, before moving into television and film.
He is known for his portrayal of General Wilhelm Burgdorf in the 2004 film Downfall. Other film roles include Captain Nikoli in The World Is Not Enough (1999), Berus in The Experiment (2001), for which he received the Lola for Best Supporting Actor, Viktor Stahl in The Monuments Men (2014) and Dreimann in Woman in Gold (2015). He has also appeared in television series such as Dear Child (2023). He is the son of conductor Christoph von Dohnányi and actress Renate Zillessen.
