Biography

Karen Henthorn is an English actress. Born in Oldham, Lancashire, she began acting professionally in her early teens and trained at the Drama Centre London.

She is known for her roles as Julie Haye in the BBC soap opera EastEnders (1997–1998 and 2025–2026) and Teresa Bryant in the ITV soap Coronation Street (2007–2010). Other television credits include Janet Macy in In the Flesh (2013–2014), Marissa Platting in Shameless (2004), and appearances in Time (2021), Vera (2011) and The Rising (2022). She played Tracey Laine in the 2025 series The Girlfriend and Sister Jude in the film Fackham Hall (2025).

Henthorn has also worked in theatre, including productions at the National Theatre, and teaches screen acting at the Italia Conti Academy and Manchester School of Theatre.
