Biography
Karen Walton is a Canadian screenwriter. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she holds an honours degree in drama from the University of Alberta and is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre's screenwriting programmes.
She wrote the screenplay for the film Ginger Snaps (2000). Her television credits include episodes of Queer as Folk (2002), Flashpoint, The Listener and Orphan Black (2013–2014), on which she also served as co-executive producer.
Walton received the Margaret Collier Award in 2016 for her body of work as a screenwriter.
