Biography
Kate Mulvany is an Australian actress, playwright and screenwriter. She was born in Geraldton, Western Australia, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Curtin University. She began her career in theatre and has performed lead roles with major Australian companies including Bell Shakespeare and Sydney Theatre Company.
Mulvany is known for film and television roles including Janet in Better Man (2024), Marion Keisker in Elvis (2022), Mrs McKee in The Great Gatsby (2013), Sister Harriet in Hunters (2020–2023) and Evie in The Little Death (2014). She has also written for stage and screen, including adaptations of Jasper Jones and The Harp in the South, and received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to the performing arts.
