Biography
Katherine Borowitz is an American actress, also credited as Katherine Turturro. Born on 5 July 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, she trained at the Yale School of Drama.
She has appeared in films including The World According to Garp (1982), Internal Affairs (1990), Men of Respect (1990), Mac (1992), Illuminata (1998), The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) as Ann Nirdlinger Brewster, Romance & Cigarettes (2005) as Choir Lady (credited as Turturro), and A Serious Man (2009). Television credits include episodes of Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She has also performed on Broadway, including in Relatively Speaking (2011).
Borowitz has been married to actor and director John Turturro since 1985. She later pursued a career in social work.
