Biography
Kathryn Crosby was an American actress who performed in films under the stage name Kathryn Grant. Born Olive Kathryn Grandstaff on 25 November 1933 in West Columbia, Texas, she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1955.
She appeared in supporting roles in several 1950s films, including Operation Mad Ball (1957), The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958) and Anatomy of a Murder (1959), in which she played Mary Pilant. In 1957 she married the singer and actor Bing Crosby and largely retired from acting, though she later hosted a local television talk show and returned to the stage after his death in 1977.
Crosby died on 20 September 2024 at her home in Hillsborough, California.
