Biography
Kavan Smith is a Canadian actor born on 6 May 1970 in Edmonton, Alberta. He attended the University of Calgary before enrolling in the performing arts programme at Mount Royal University. He began his career with a leading role in the Canadian television series Destiny Ridge in 1993.
Smith is known for recurring roles including Major Evan Lorne in Stargate SG-1 (1997) and Stargate Atlantis (2004), Agent Jed Garrity in The 4400 (2004), and Deputy Andy in Eureka (2006). His film credits include Nicholas Willis in Mission to Mars (2000). He has also appeared in Smallville (2001), Supernatural (2005) and Battlestar Galactica (2004), and narrated Canadian documentaries.
