Biography

Kees Kasander is a Dutch film producer. Born in 1955 in Gorinchem, he entered the industry in 1978 as head of distribution for Film International, a company involved in the Rotterdam Film Festival. He began producing independently in 1981 and later established Kasander Film in Rotterdam.

Kasander is known for his long collaboration with director Peter Greenaway, serving as producer on films including A Zed & Two Noughts (1985), Drowning by Numbers (1988), The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover (1989), Prospero's Books (1991), The Pillow Book (1995) and Nightwatching (2007). He also produced Fish Tank (2009), directed by Andrea Arnold.
