Biography
Kelly Ward is an American actor, voice director and writer. Born on 17 November 1956 in San Diego, California, he began his career with roles in the television film The Boy in the Plastic Bubble (1976) and episodes of series including CHiPs, The Waltons and MASH*.
He is best known for playing Putzie in the film Grease (1978). Other screen credits include The Big Red One (1980) and Magnum, P.I.. Ward largely ceased on-camera acting after 1983 and moved into animation, writing and producing features such as Once Upon a Forest (1993) and All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 (1996), and serving as a voice director for Disney Television Animation series.
He has taught musical theatre at the University of Southern California.
