Biography
Ken Topolsky is an American television producer, director and music production manager. He began his career as a music production manager for Phil Ramone, working with artists including Billy Joel and Simon & Garfunkel, and served as music co-ordinator on the 1983 film Flashdance.
Topolsky moved into television production with credits including Bates Motel (1987) and The Wizard (1989). He produced The Wonder Years (1988–1993) and directed thirteen episodes of the series, earning shared Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1990 and 1991. He later served as executive producer and directed episodes of Party of Five (1994–2000).
Subsequent credits include executive producing and directing on Dallas (2012–2014), and co-executive producing on 1883 (2021) and 1923 (2022). He has also showrun series such as MDs, Clubhouse and Scoundrels.
