Biography
Kenneth Connor (6 June 1918 – 28 November 1993) was a British stage, film, radio and television actor. He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and made his professional stage debut in 1936. After war service he worked in radio comedy and gained small film roles.
Connor appeared as a cab driver (uncredited) in The Ladykillers (1955). He became a regular in the Carry On series from Carry On Sergeant (1958), appearing in seventeen of the original films. Later television work included Monsieur Alfonse in 'Allo 'Allo! (1984–1992) and a role in Blackadder the Third (1987). He was appointed MBE in 1991.
