Biography
Keong Sim is an American actor. Born in South Vietnam to South Korean parents, he moved to the United States at the age of four and was raised in Chicago. He graduated from Loyola Academy in 1987 and earned a BA in English Literature from the University of Chicago in 1992.
Sim began his screen career in the early 2000s with guest roles on series including Law & Order (2004) and Grey's Anatomy (2011). He is known for recurring parts as Dr Sung Park in the medical drama Monday Mornings (2013) and Pastor Wayne in Dead to Me (2019–2022). His film credits include The Last Airbender (2010), Olympus Has Fallen (2013), Glee (2009–2012) as Mike Chang Sr., and Hillbilly Elegy (2020) as Ken. He has also worked extensively in theatre, including at the Public Theater in New York and Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago, and as an improvisation teacher and mentor.
