Biography
Kevin Keating was an American cinematographer and director known for his work on documentaries. He contributed cinematography to Harlan County, USA (1976) and American Dream (1990), both directed by Barbara Kopple, as well as Gimme Shelter (1970) and When We Were Kings (1996). He later directed the feature documentary Giuliani Time (2005).
Richard Kevin Keating was born on 25 July 1944 in Mamaroneck, New York. He graduated from Morris Harvey College (later the University of Charleston) in West Virginia. Keating died on 3 May 2026 in Brooklyn, aged 81.
