Biography
Khary Payton is an American actor and voice actor. Born on 16 May 1972 in Augusta, Georgia, he began performing at the age of 14 after winning Showtime's first annual Kid Talent Quest. He studied acting at Southern Methodist University and worked in theatre in Texas before moving to Los Angeles.
Payton is known for his live-action role as King Ezekiel in the AMC series The Walking Dead (2016–2022) and his recurring part as Dr Terrell Jackson in the soap opera General Hospital. His voice credits include Cyborg in the Teen Titans series and related DC media, Kaldur'ahm / Aqualad in Young Justice, and the Penguin King in The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023).
