Biography
Kim Chang-ju (Korean: 김창주) is a South Korean film editor and director. Born on 7 October 1972 in Seoul, he began working in the editing department on the 2005 film Welcome to Dongmakgol.
He has edited more than 60 films, including Snowpiercer (2013) for Bong Joon-ho, A Hard Day (2014) and Tunnel (2016) for Kim Seong-hun, and The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion (2018) for Park Hoon-jung. His television credits include episodes of Kingdom (2019). He won the Grand Bell Award for Best Editing for Snowpiercer and the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Editing for A Hard Day.
Kim made his directorial debut with the 2021 thriller Hard Hit, on which he also served as editor and writer. He has since directed Amazon Bullseye (2024).
