Biography
Kristian Bruun is a Canadian actor. Born Charles Kristian Bonnycastle Bruun on 25 October 1979 in Toronto, Ontario, he is a dual citizen of Canada and Finland.
He trained at Valley Forge Military Academy in Pennsylvania, Queen's University in Ontario (B.A. in drama, 2001) and George Brown Theatre School in Toronto, and has performed on stage across Canada as well as in the United Kingdom and Germany. His screen career began in the early 2000s.
Bruun is best known for his role as Donald 'Donnie' Hendrix on the series Orphan Black (2013–2017), initially recurring and later a main cast member. Other television roles include Constable Slugger Jackson on Murdoch Mysteries (2012–2017) and Janus Ferber on The Recruit (2022–).
