Biography
Kuranosuke Sasaki is a Japanese actor. Born Hideaki Sasaki on 4 February 1968 in Kyoto, he is the son of a sake brewer. After graduating from Kobe University he worked briefly in advertising before becoming a stage actor with the theatrical group Planet Pistachio from 1990 to 1998.
He made his film debut in the lead role of Mamiya Kyodai (2006) and his television series debut in Gira Gira (2008). Sasaki is known for roles in 20th Century Boys: Beginning of the End (2008), Summer Time Machine Blues (2005), We Are Little Zombies (2019) and as Yoji Akitsu in Godzilla Minus One (2023).
