Biography
Kwon Yoo-jin is a South Korean costume designer. The son of Lee Hae-yoon, a leading figure in Korean film costume design, he inherited the family business and has worked in the field for over thirty years. He heads a team of nearly twenty designers and has supported the debut of many assistants.
He is credited as costume designer on numerous films, including Welcome to Dongmakgol (2005), War of the Arrows (2011), I Saw the Devil (2010), The Admiral: Roaring Currents (2014), The Pirates (2014), Train to Busan (2016), Psychokinesis (2018) and Kingdom (2019). He has also worked on the series Kingdom.
Kwon has received multiple Grand Bell Awards for Best Costume Design, including wins in 1994, 1997, 2009, 2012, 2016 and 2022, along with nominations for Asian Film Awards.
