Biography
Lara McDonnell is an Irish actress born on 7 November 2003 in Castleknock, Dublin. She made her screen debut playing the ten-year-old Rosie Dunne in the 2014 film Love, Rosie.
McDonnell played the alternating title role in the West End production of Matilda the Musical from 2015 to 2016. Subsequent roles include Young Anne Brontë in the 2016 television film To Walk Invisible, Alannah in The Delinquent Season (2018), Captain Holly Short in Artemis Fowl (2020) and Moira in Belfast (2021). She also appeared in Greatest Days (2023).
She featured on the 2021 Irish Independent list of actors to go stellar and returned to the stage in The Hills of California in London and on Broadway in 2024.
