Biography

Larry Gross is an American screenwriter and producer. He received a writing credit on the film 48 Hrs. (1982) and collaborated with director Walter Hill on Streets of Fire (1984) and Another 48 Hrs. (1990). His other screenwriting credits include Geronimo: An American Legend (1993), True Crime (1999) and We Don't Live Here Anymore (2004).

Gross won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival for We Don't Live Here Anymore. He has also written for films such as Prozac Nation (2001) and Veronika Decides to Die (2009), and served as a producer on several projects. He attended Bard College, from which he graduated in 1974, and holds master's degrees from Columbia University and New York University. He is a visiting professor of film and new media at New York University Abu Dhabi.
