Biography
Larry Groupé, also credited as Lawrence Nash Groupé, is an American composer of film and television scores. He has composed music for numerous films and television programmes, and has worked extensively with director Rod Lurie.
Groupé studied at the Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific and earned a master's degree in music composition from the University of California, San Diego. His scores include those for Lurie's The Contender (2000), Nothing But the Truth (2008), Resurrecting the Champ (2007), Straw Dogs (2011) and The Outpost (2020), as well as the television series Commander in Chief. He also collaborated with the band Yes on their 2001 album Magnification.
Groupé has received multiple Emmy nominations and three wins, including for documentary scores. Lucky Strike (2026) marks another collaboration with Lurie.
