Biography
Larry Morey, also credited as Lawrence L. Morey, was an American lyricist and screenwriter. He was born on 26 March 1905 in Los Angeles, California, and died on 8 May 1971 in Santa Barbara, California.
Morey joined Walt Disney Productions in 1933 after working at Warner Bros. and Paramount. He co-wrote lyrics with Frank Churchill for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), including "Heigh-Ho", "I'm Wishing" and "Whistle While You Work", and was credited as a sequence director on the film. He adapted Felix Salten's book for Bambi (1942) and co-wrote its score. Other credits include work on The Reluctant Dragon (1941) and So Dear to My Heart (1948).
Morey received Academy Award nominations for songs from Bambi and So Dear to My Heart.
