Biography
Lars Ranthe is a Danish actor. He was born on 26 August 1969 in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, and graduated from Odense Theatre in 1998.
Ranthe began his career with supporting roles in the 1980s and gained prominence in the 2000s with appearances in films including Adam's Apples (2005) and The Green Butchers (2003). His breakthrough came with the role of Kjeld Petersen in A Funny Man (2011), for which he received a Bodil Award and a Robert Award. He is known for his performances as Bruun in The Hunt (2012), Peter in Another Round (2020), and Ole in The Commune (2016), as well as the recurring role of Georg Madsen in the television series Seaside Hotel (2013–2024).
Ranthe has been married to actress Christine Albeck Børge since 1998.
