Biography
Laura Allen is an American actress born on 21 March 1974 in Portland, Oregon. She grew up on Bainbridge Island, Washington, and graduated from Wellesley College in 1996 with a degree in sociology. Before pursuing acting she worked as a domestic violence counsellor with the NYPD.
She began her career with a regular role on the soap opera All My Children (2000–2002) and later appeared as Lily Tyler in The 4400 (2004–2007). Allen has had regular parts in Dirt (2007–2008), Terriers (2010) as Katie Nichols, and Awake (2012). She has also made guest appearances in series including Grey's Anatomy, House, Suits, American Horror Story, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Criminal Minds, 9-1-1 and Chicago Fire, and featured in films such as Mona Lisa Smile (2003) and Clown (2014).
