Biography
Laura Donnelly is a Northern Irish actress. Born in Belfast in 1982, she trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and began her career with early roles in theatre and on screen.
She is known for her frequent collaborations with playwright Jez Butterworth, appearing in productions of The River (2012–2015), The Ferryman (2017–2019) and The Hills of California (2024). For her performance in The Ferryman she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress and received a Tony Award nomination. On television she has played Jenny Fraser Murray in Outlander (2014–2017), Amalia True in The Nevers (2021–2023) and Charlotte Fischer in Sugar (2024). Her film credits include Tolkien (2019) and Werewolf by Night (2022).
