Biography
Laurel Cronin was an American actress, singer and dancer. Born in Forest Park, Illinois, she spent thirty-five years working in Chicago theatre before moving to Los Angeles in 1990.
She appeared on Broadway in Passione (1980) and won the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actress in 1987 for her performance as Mrs Hardcastle in She Stoops to Conquer at the Court Theatre. Her film roles include Liza in Hook (1991), Devonia Peet in Beethoven (1992), Mary in Housesitter (1992) and Maida Gillespie in A League of Their Own (1992). She also appeared in the television series Crime Story (1986). Cronin died in Chicago in 1992.
