Biography
Laurent Capelluto is a Belgian actor. Born on 16 March 1971 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, to Italian parents, he grew up in Brussels. He initially studied science before training in drama at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles. He began his career in theatre with the Théâtre national de Belgique and later became a permanent member of the Infini Théâtre company.
Capelluto has appeared in more than thirty films since 1999. He gained wider recognition for his role in Arnaud Desplechin's Un conte de Noël (2008), for which he received a César nomination. Other notable credits include Mr. Nobody (2009), OSS 117: Lost in Rio (2009), Rien à déclarer (2010), Amour (2012) as Police Officer #1, Fils unique (2011) and Le temps de l'aventure (2013). He has won two Magritte Awards for Best Supporting Actor.
