Biography
Leah Remini is an American actress. Born on 15 June 1970 in Brooklyn, New York, she moved to Los Angeles at the age of 13 to pursue acting and studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
She began her career with guest roles on series such as Who's the Boss? and starred in the short-lived sitcom Living Dolls (1989). Remini appeared as Stacey Carosi in six episodes of Saved by the Bell (1991) and as Serafina Tortelli in two episodes of Cheers (1991 and 1993). She is best known for portraying Carrie Heffernan in the CBS sitcom The King of Queens (1998–2007). Remini later co-hosted the daytime talk show The Talk (2010–2011) and hosted and produced the documentary series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath (2016–2019).
