Biography
Leanne Welham is a British director, writer and producer. After studying at Royal Holloway, University of London, she worked as an editor and made short films before directing for Channel 4 and producing freelance documentaries in Africa.
Her feature debut Pili (2017), co-written and filmed in Tanzania with non-professional actors, earned a BAFTA nomination. She has directed episodes of His Dark Materials (2020), The Trial of Christine Keeler (2020), Conversations with Friends (2022) and Pachinko (2024), on which she also served as executive producer.
