Biography
Leon Lopez is a British actor and director. Born on 30 August 1979 in Liverpool, he trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and first came to prominence as an actor, playing Jerome Johnson in the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside (1999–2002). He later appeared in EastEnders (2016) and other television roles.
Lopez moved into directing with his debut feature film Soft Lad (2015), which premiered at the East End Film Festival and received a UK cinema release. His television directing credits include episodes of Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Death in Paradise (from 2022), Beyond Paradise, Brassic and two episodes of Midsomer Murders (2023). He has also directed several short films.
