Biography
Lesley Dunlop is an English actress. She was born on 10 March 1956 in Newcastle upon Tyne. The daughter of television writer Pat Dunlop, she trained at the Arts Educational Schools and began her career as a child actress in the 1970s.
Her early screen roles include appearances in Tess (1979) and A Little Night Music (1977). In 1980 she played Nora in The Elephant Man. She also appeared in The Monster Club (1981) and had guest roles in Doctor Who.
Dunlop is known for her long-running television work, including Emmerdale as Brenda Walker (2008–2025), Where the Heart Is and May to December. She married actor Chris Chittell in 2016.
