Biography
Leslie Stefanson, also credited as Leslie Ann Stefanson, is an American actress and sculptor. Born on 10 May 1971 in Fargo, North Dakota, she graduated with a degree in English literature from Barnard College in 1993. She began her career with small film roles in the mid-1990s and appeared in advertisements while modelling.
Stefanson is known for her performances in The General's Daughter (1999) as Captain Elisabeth Campbell, Unbreakable (2000) as Kelly, As Good as It Gets (1997), Flubber (1997) and The Hunted (2003). She also appeared in the television miniseries Jackie, Ethel, Joan: The Women of Camelot (2001) as Joan Bennett Kennedy. Her acting credits span 1994 to 2003, with archival footage used in Glass (2019).
Since around 2002 she has been the partner of actor James Spader. Stefanson now works as a sculptor in New York City, creating bronze and terracotta pieces; one of her sculptures won the top prize from the National Sculpture Society in 2019.
