Biography
Linda Ellerbee is an American journalist, news anchor, producer and writer. Born Linda Jane Smith on 15 August 1944 in Bryan, Texas, she began her career in print and local radio before moving into television news.
She is known for co-anchoring NBC News Overnight (1982–1983) and hosting Nick News on Nickelodeon from 1991. In 1987 she and her partner Rolfe Tessem founded Lucky Duck Productions. Ellerbee appears as herself in archive footage in the film Koyaanisqatsi (1983) and narrated Baby Boom (1987). She has also made guest appearances as herself on series including Murphy Brown (1988) and Ellen (1994).
