Biography

Linda Muir is a Canadian costume designer whose work spans theatre, film and television since the 1970s. She is based in Toronto and has collaborated extensively with director Robert Eggers on period productions.

Her credits with Eggers include The Witch (2015), The Lighthouse (2019), The Northman (2022) and Nosferatu (2024). Earlier film work encompasses Atom Egoyan’s Exotica (1994) and John Greyson’s Lilies (1996), for both of which she won Genie Awards for best costume design. She has also designed for television series such as Murdoch Mysteries.

Muir received a Costume Designers Guild Award for Nosferatu and an Academy Award nomination for the same film. Her early career included theatre productions and children’s television such as Sharon, Lois & Bram’s Elephant Show.
