Biography
Lisa Jakub is a Canadian writer, yoga teacher and former actress. Born on 27 December 1978 in Toronto, Ontario, she began acting as a child with a role in the 1985 film Eleni.
She is best known for playing Lydia Hillard in Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and Alicia Casse in Independence Day (1996). Other credits include Matinee (1993), The Beautician and the Beast (1997) and A Walk on the Moon (1999). She retired from acting in 2001.
Jakub graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in sociology in 2010. She married Jeremy Jones in 2005 and has written a memoir, You Look Like That Girl (2015), while working as a speaker and advocate for mental wellness.
