Biography
Lisa Jane Persky is an American actress. She was born on 5 May 1955 in New York City and grew up in Greenwich Village. She began her career in theatre, appearing in productions at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club and on Broadway in Steaming.
Persky made her film debut in The Great Santini (1979). She has appeared in supporting roles in films including The Cotton Club (1984), Peggy Sue Got Married (1986), The Sure Thing (1985), When Harry Met Sally... (1989) as Alice, The Big Easy (1986) and Coneheads (1993). Her television credits include episodes of The X-Files, Quantum Leap, The Golden Girls and King of the Hill. She also worked as a writer and photojournalist for New York Rocker magazine in the 1970s.
In 2008 she married music historian Andy Zax.
