Biography
Lita Chevret was an American actress who appeared in over 60 films, mostly in small or uncredited roles, between 1929 and 1940. She began her career in the early sound era after working as a professional dancer and showgirl, securing a contract with RKO and appearing in several Wheeler and Woolsey comedies.
Her credited parts included roles in The Pay-Off (1930), Everything's Rosie (1931), Girl Crazy (1932) and Ladies of the Jury (1932). Among her many uncredited appearances were The Women (1939), Camille (1936), Follow the Fleet (1936), What Price Hollywood? (1932) and The Philadelphia Story (1940), her final film role.
Chevret was born on 27 May 1908 in Oakland, California, and died on 23 May 2001 in Palm Springs, California. She was married to Alfred Hickman and later to Carlton Williams.
