Biography
Liz Alper is a television writer and producer. Her credits include writing for Hawaii Five-0 (2010), where she also served as executive story editor on 25 episodes in 2017–2018; Chicago Fire (2012), as story editor and writer on multiple episodes between 2015 and 2017; and The Rookie (2018), as writer and co-producer.
She began her career as a writers’ assistant on House M.D. and later worked as a showrunner’s assistant for David Shore and as a script coordinator on Monday Mornings. Alper is a graduate of Emerson College and originally from Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She has also written episodes of Two Sentence Horror Stories and Day of the Dead.
Alper co-founded the #PayUpHollywood initiative and has served on the Writers Guild of America West board of directors.
