Biography
Liz Heldens, also credited as Elizabeth Heldens, is an American television writer and producer. She began her career writing for series including Boston Public and Friday Night Lights (2006–2009), for which she received multiple Writers Guild of America Award nominations for drama series.
Heldens has created several series, among them Mercy, Deception (2013) and The Passage (2019). She served as writer and executive producer on the Hulu miniseries The Dropout (2022), which earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for outstanding limited or anthology series. She is co-showrunner and executive producer on the ABC drama Will Trent (2023–), and has also worked on The Orville and The Big Leap.
