Biography
Loles León, born María Dolores León Rodríguez, is a Spanish actress. A native of Barcelona, she moved to Madrid to pursue acting and met director Pedro Almodóvar during the Movida Madrileña. She appeared as the secretary in his film Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988).
León has collaborated with Almodóvar on further films including Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1990). On television she has played Paloma Hurtado in Aquí no hay quien viva (2003–2004) and Menchu Carrascosa in La que se avecina (from 2016). She has also appeared in films by other directors such as Vicente Aranda and Fernando Trueba.
