Biography
Loren McLaughlan is a British television writer. She has written episodes of series including Shameless (2013), The White Princess (2017, with Amy Roberts), Cold Feet (2016), The Village (2014) and The Hardacres (2024–2026), on which she is also credited as creator.
McLaughlan began her career in production and script editing, working on programmes such as Coronation Street and Shameless. She collaborates with writer Amy Roberts; the pair met while script editing Shameless. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Manchester’s New Writing Centre and is based in Rochdale, England.
