Biography
Lorenzo Senatore is a cinematographer. He was born on 2 March 1974 in London and studied filmmaking at the Roberto Rossellini cinema school in Rome. At the age of 25 he became one of the youngest Steadicam and camera operators in Italy.
Senatore has worked as director of photography on films including The Fourth Kind (2009), Risen (2016), Hellboy (2019), The Outpost (2020), The Princess (2022) and Runner (2026). He has also served as second unit director of photography or camera operator on several larger productions such as Spectre (2015), 300: Rise of an Empire (2014), Wonder Woman (2017) and The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017).
He is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers, the Associazione Italiana Autori della Fotografia Cinematografica and the International Cinematographers Guild. In 2016 he received the Golden Light Meter award for his work on Risen.
