Biography
Louis Armstrong (1901–1971) was an American jazz trumpeter, singer and actor. He appeared in numerous films, frequently playing himself or performing with his band.
His screen credits include Cabin in the Sky (1943), A Song Is Born (1948), The Glenn Miller Story (1954), High Society (1956), Paris Blues (1961) and Hello, Dolly! (1969). He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and died in New York City.
