Biography

Louise Wakefield is an Australian costume designer working in film and television. Originally from Adelaide, she studied drama as part of a Bachelor of Arts degree and trained in costume cutting and construction.

She is credited as costume designer on the feature films Shine (1996) and Doing Time for Patsy Cline (1997), for which she won the 1997 AFI Award for Best Costume Design. Other credits include assistant costume designer on Babe (1995) and design work on Walk the Talk (2000) and the television series Underbelly (2008–2013). She has also taught costume design at AFTRS and TAFE.
