Biography
Lucien Frégis, born Lucien Jules Cordonnier, was a French actor. He was born on 5 July 1904 in Paris and died on 25 August 1979 in Argenteuil, Val-d'Oise.
He appeared in several films directed by Jacques Tati, including as the Hotel Proprietor in Monsieur Hulot's Holiday (1953) and as Monsieur Pichard in Mon Oncle (1958). Other film roles include parts in Donkey Skin (1970) and Madame Bovary (1974). He also worked in numerous television productions from the 1950s onwards.
Before beginning his acting career after the Second World War, Frégis worked as a metal polisher and accountant.
