Biography
Lucy Boynton is a British actress. Born on 17 January 1994 in New York City, she was raised in London and holds dual British and American citizenship. She made her professional debut at the age of twelve as the young Beatrix Potter in the 2006 film Miss Potter.
Boynton appeared in the BBC productions Ballet Shoes (2007) and Sense and Sensibility (2008). She gained wider recognition for her role as Raphina in Sing Street (2016) and as Countess Elena Andrenyi in Murder on the Orient Express (2017). In 2018 she portrayed Mary Austin, Freddie Mercury's partner, in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. The film earned the cast a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards. Subsequent credits include The Pale Blue Eye (2022) and Barbie (2023).
