Biography
Lucy Kirkwood is a British playwright and screenwriter. She studied English literature at the University of Edinburgh and began writing plays while a student there.
She contributed episodes to the Channel 4 series Skins (2008–2010) and created the Sky 1 series The Smoke (2014). Her later television work includes the Channel 4 adaptation of her play Chimerica (2019) and the series Adult Material (2020). On stage, her plays include Chimerica (2013), The Children (2016) and The Welkin (2020). She was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2018.
