Biography
Mackenzie Astin is an American actor. He was born Mackenzie Alexander Astin on 12 May 1973 in Los Angeles, California, the son of actors Patty Duke and John Astin. His half-brother is actor Sean Astin. He began acting as a child and appeared in the television series The Facts of Life from 1985 to 1988.
Astin has worked in both film and television. His film credits include Iron Will (1994). On television he has had recurring or guest roles in series including Lost (2004), House (2004), Grey's Anatomy (2005), Scandal, The Magicians, Homeland (2011), You (2018) and The Blacklist (2013). In 2023 he played Tom O'Connell in the series Love & Death.
Astin has been married to Jennifer Bautz since 2011.
