Biography
Malcolm Tierney (25 February 1938 – 18 February 2014) was an English actor. He trained at Manchester School of Art and Rose Bruford College, and began his professional career in 1962.
Tierney appeared in numerous stage, film and television roles. He was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in the 1970s and had recurring television parts including Tommy McArdle in Brookside (1984–1987) and Charlie Gimbert in Lovejoy (1986–1993). His film credits include an uncredited role in Star Wars (1977), the Home Office Official in In the Name of the Father (1993) and the Magistrate in Braveheart (1995). He played Patrick Woolton in the 1990 miniseries House of Cards.
